All are acrylic save for the two female portraits... they are in oil.

why did you use the colors that you used,
the reds,the blacks,the yellows.

why the flattness and the backgrounds?

The colors have symbolic meaning for me. Red... blood/lust... black death/decay/secrets... yellow... sickness/coward behavior.

I normally do not use much of a background because I do not want to distract from the figures.
